Cosette got tubes today. She was great going into it. Although shy, she let the nurses get her vitals, got changed, and didn't cry even though she hadn't eaten since the night before. She didn't like going under and hated coming out of anesthesia. After crying for 45 minutes solid, she crashed when she got home. After a long nap, she woke up happy and herself. Since then we've had 3 hour naps every morning, sleeping through the night, and a marked change in her personality. It rocks.

I worked all day and the realtor came over the stage the living room. We re-arranged everything and I forgot to take a picture. I'll add it in later when we get the kitchen stuff out of the living room.

Apparently when we assigned the boys the task of of packing up some toys in the basement, they also accidentally packed the remote to the basement tv. Of course, the "on" button is broken, so no tv in the basement until who knows when. Our answer was to pull out the portable dvd players. Each kid has one and they were assigned to separate corners to watch a show and stay out of our hair.

Our strategy for cleaning up the house with four kids underfoot is to make them do some of the work. Sometimes this idea works and sometimes it's a total failure. Today it actually worked. Each kid got a washrag and a magic eraser. They scrubbed the basement walls and were thrilled to do it. So thrilled that we got tired of them jumping all over and we kicked them out of the basement! LOL!

I guess somebody likes Cheese Nips. And I don't doubt Cosette dumped them all over the floor. But you think the boys could have told me? Oh no, they just sat there and ate them off the floor as if it was the most normal thing ever.

Our children lack coordination. This is not surprising considering who their parents are. They can't ride bikes, none of them really mastered a tricycle even. So when Blake asked for roller skates for Christmas, we kind of knew the outcome. He tried them out a couple times inside the house, but today was his first trip outside. He'll get the hang of it eventually, right? LOL!

I needed a break today and so Fiona agreed to hit up Target with me. On the way over, we noticed a sign for discount day at a thrift shop. We made a quick turn and entered the most religious thrift store I've ever been in. Not only were there religious pictures on every available surface, it was adjacent to a sanctuary with an indoor grotto and statues. Not what we expected. But Fiona found some awesome suitcases!
