Day 7

Today's picture(s) need a little back story. Our kids love Wipeout. It's a silly obstacle course style game show that involves lots of people flipping and falling off various things into water. You can see why the boys love it. This year, they have a season of Winter Wipeout. The same show, just with winter-themed obstacles. We watched it tonight before dinner. There was much hilarity. The boys laughed and laughed and bounced off the walls. By the end of the show, they were making us crazy with their rambunctiousness. Travis (who has been introduced to yoga through the p90x workout), came up with a brilliant plan: mountain pose. Everyone had to stand in the kitchen in mountain pose and chant. Shockingly, the kids totally went for it. This turned into a mini-meditation session while the grown-ups gathered their sanity enough to make dinner. Of course, it was still silly as Hayden chanted "Buuuuuuum.....Buuuuuuuum" instead of the vigorous "Ohhhhhhm"s the other boys were chanting. Namaste y'all:

Yes, Hayden is wearing a Buzz Lightyear costume to bed. And yes, my craft stuff is all over the table. Thank you Blake for lining up the glue sticks.

And this pic is totally crap-pay, but I thought it was so cute! Hayden got tired of his bum-chanting and went back to his dinner of yogurt while the others cooperated with my picture-taking.

Speaking of crap-pay pictures, my pictures are crap-pay. Probably because I'm not so great with manual mode. Probably because I always take my pictures at night when there's no natural light and I don't want to use my flash. Probably because I'm not very good at editing. Hopefully, I will improve over time.
